Read on to learn more.

Youth Program

We provide workshop training sessions and mentorship opportunities to youths aged 9–21 years old. We educate them on how to rely on their inner strength, leadership, and self-advocacy skills to navigate through the world we live in.

Additionally, we provide youth mentorships to enhance leadership development skills and target educational, career, and personal goals. Each youth will be interviewed by one of our staff members for admittance into the mentorship program.

The 12-month mentorship program includes a community service project to be completed by the youth and handled by the mentor. The mentee will participate weekly at a minimum of 4 hours per week or 16 hours per month. There are no fees associated with youth participation in the mentorship program.

Mentor Program

This program will provide youths with adult mentorship. Mentors act as role models for youth participants. They will also undergo background checks and child abuse clearances prior to selection to the program. Mentors will also receive 16 hours of yearly training to comply with program requirements.

In addition, each mentor must pass a criminal background check (having a criminal record does not automatically prevent one from becoming a mentor), child abuse clearance, and an interview conducted by one of our staff member. They also need to have three strong character reference letters and be able to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week or 16 hours per month for their mentees.

Mentors must possess basic computer skills and experience with video conferencing (or is willing to learn). Previous mentoring experience is not required, but it is helpful. There is no minimum education required. A proven life experience and good character are valued. Moreover, mentors must have high ethical standards.
